Zhirong Lin is currently a fifth year student studying Architectural Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University, with a lighting/electrical emphasis. She will graduate in May 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering. Zhirong also studied abroad in Rome, Italy. She spent a great time there, not only roman history from the instructors, but also perceiving the aesthetics of architecture.  

During her time at Penn State, Zhirong has also involved in number of organizations such as the student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE), the Penn State chapter of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), and the International Association of Lighting Designers(IALD). In the past summer, she interned for an architectural engineering firm, Stantec located in Lynnwood, WA, where reinforced her lighting concept design principles and build up her interest being a lighting designer after graduation. In Zhirong’s spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling and working out regularly.
